The Brampton Lions FC is preparing for their second year in the CSL, and are happy to call Brampton their home. In their first year they were committed to the development of younger players, and by doing so, they were rewarded with the great play of Daniel Nascimento who went on to win the CSL goal scoring title and CSL league MVP award. The Lions were in first place for most of the 2008 season until they lost five of their starters to USA and European teams. Miles O'Connor, Danny Valestegui, Orlin Chalmers, Matt O'Connor, and Geron Daporte were key players in their early success, but the Lions management was happy to see their player's excel to a higher level which is all part of their program and vision.
In March of 2009 Brampton Lions FC and Dixie SC made history by committing to affiliate and bring Professional soccer and Amateur soccer as one. This is a big piece of the puzzle which makes the vision of the club transparent, and completing the pyramid of play. Young players are having the opportunity to interact with top player's in Canada, and provide an environment of professionalism. This affiliation will open the doors to young player's dreams and help them develop to their maximum ability with quality training and programs.
Now in 2010 the Brampton Lions are confident that they can compete for the CSL championship. With returning players such as Daniel Nascimento and Judah Hernandez, the Lions feel they will be a force to any opponent to deal with.
We look forward to seeing you for the 2010 season.
Thank You,
Brampton Lions FC
