Great day of soccer at Victoria Park in Brampton. Both teams displayed great skill and determination to take the full three points, but their efforts ended with a 2-2 draw...The Lions came off firing at all cylinders in the first 15 minutes, but were unfortunate to hit the crossbar and miss two breakaways. Alex Arbelo opened the scoring from a free kick that went into the top corner.Matt Stinson for TFC scored a top class diving header goal to tie it a 1-1 going in at half.
In the second half Arbelo stole the ball from a TFC defender and slotted home his second of the game making it 2-1. Toronto FC kept pushing forward and their hard work was rewarded as they tied the game 2-2.
It was a great game to watch for the crowd as their were over 600 fans in attendance. The Brampton Lions next home game will be on June 14th at 3:00pm against Italia Shooters. This game will be televised by Rogers television.
